Shaping the Future of Financial Markets: Sustainable, Ethical, Human

On September 17 and 18, 2026, Instituto BME will hold the 5th Sustainable Finance Congress at the Madrid Stock Exchange Palace, a leading academic and institutional forum that brings together researchers, market professionals, and regulatory officials to analyze the major challenges of financial sustainability, ESG integration, and the evolution of the financial system.

The BME Institute, in collaboration with various institutions and other partner entities, is participating today in the Financial Education Plan. This Plan is an initiative of the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the Bank of Spain, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. Its aim is to improve citizens' financial literacy, providing them with the basic knowledge and tools they need to manage their finances in a responsible and informed manner. Financial Education Day has been celebrated since 2015 on the first Monday of October, with initiatives developed throughout Spain and for all audiences.
