V Internacional Conference on Sustainable Finance

Authors interested in submitting an article for consideration at the V International Conference on Sustainable Finance (ICSF 2026) must submit two documents:

Title page

This document must include the title of the article, the names of the authors, their university or organization, the department to which they belong, and their email addresses. Optionally, information about funding and acknowledgments may also be added. The template available at Submission Template must be used.

Anonymous abstract (First option)

The abstract must be written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese (if Spanish or Portuguese is chosen, an English abstract must also be included). The abstract must have a concise title that reflects the objective of the study, followed by an introduction describing the context and relevance of the research, the methodology applied, and the main conclusions. It should not exceed 1,500 words and should include between 4 and 5 keywords that reflect the content of the study.
All symbols and abbreviations used must be defined when first mentioned, and non-standard abbreviations should be avoided. Citations should be avoided, but if they are essential, the author(s) and year must be indicated. Figures, equations, and tables should not be cited in the abstract. The template available in Submission Template must be used.

Anonymous manuscript (Second option)

The anonymous manuscript must be written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese (if Spanish or Portuguese is chosen, an abstract in English must also be included) and must not contain any reference to the authors. It must include a concise title that reflects the objective of the work, an abstract of no more than 200 words, and between 4 and 5 keywords.
The maximum length allowed is 8,000 words, including tables, figures, references, and appendices. The manuscript must follow a clear structure, including the following sections: title, abstract, keywords, introduction, theoretical framework and hypothesis development, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions, references, and appendices.
Tables and figures should be inserted within the text and not at the end of the document. A maximum of three levels of headings is recommended. All references must comply with APA guidelines (7th edition). The template available in Submission Template must be used.

Track selection

The thematic areas of the International Conference on Sustainable Finance (ICSF26) focus primarily—though not exclusively—on sustainability and its integration into finance, economics, and corporate strategy. The conference welcomes submissions on ESG investment and financing, with particular emphasis on sustainable financial instruments, products, and assets—such as green, social, and sustainable bonds; sustainability-linked instruments; and other market-based mechanisms—as well as their disclosure frameworks, standards, drivers, characteristics, and impacts. Additional topics include sustainability transparency and reporting, ethics in finance and education, social integration, financial markets and volatility, and operational risks. The role of the financial sector in the transition toward sustainable development constitutes a central pillar of the conference, alongside renewable energy and its impact on economic growth, infrastructure and urban mobility, fintech and digital innovation, and sustainability-related legislation and public policy. Research examining the integration of sustainability into corporate strategy, corporate governance, long-term value creation, and decision-making processes is also strongly encouraged. All contributions should address these themes from an interdisciplinary perspective aligned with sustainability principles.

Track 1: ESG Investing & Financing.  (Presidents: Ana B. Alonso-Conde & Javier Rojo-Suárez)

• This track explores the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into investment strategies, asset pricing, sustainable financing, green bonds and corporate decision-making. Topics include sustainable finance, impact investing, ESG performance metrics.

Track 2: Ethics in Financial Literacy. (Presidents: Ángela Callejón-Gil y Manuel Ángel Gámez)

• Focusing on ethical dilemmas and integrity in financial decision-making, this track covers corporate governance, financial fraud, conflicts of interest, and ethical considerations in asset management, banking, and investment practices, ensuring accountability and trust in the financial sector, as well as education on sustainability.

Track 3: Financial Markets & Volatility (Presidents: Enrique Castellanos)

• This track examines the dynamics of financial markets, asset price fluctuations, and market microstructure. It covers topics such as market efficiency, speculation, short-selling, and the role of economic policies and external shocks in driving market volatility.

Track 4: ESG Banking & Insurance (Presidents: David Alaminos & Miguel Guillén)

• Addressing the evolving landscape of risk management, this track includes discussions on credit risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, and systemic risk in banking and insurance. It also explores stress testing, and risk mitigation strategies in financial institutions.

Track 5: Fintech (President: TDB)

• This track delves into technological innovations in finance, including blockchain, cryptocurrencies, robo-advisors, decentralized finance (DeFi), and AI-driven financial services. It examines the impact of fintech on traditional banking, payments, lending, and investment.

Track 6: Sustainability Reporting. (Presidents: Lázaro Rodríguez Ariza y María Victoria López Pérez)

• Focusing on corporate sustainability disclosure and compliance, this track covers international sustainability standards, financial reporting frameworks, carbon accounting, and green taxonomies in promoting sustainable development.

Track 7: Renewable Energy, Infrastructure & Urban Mobility. Presidents: (Antonio Lorenzo Lara Galera y Belén Muñoz Medina)

• This track explores the financial and economic aspects of renewable energy projects, infrastructure financing, and sustainable urban mobility solutions. Topics include public-private partnerships (PPPs), smart cities, and the transition to low-carbon economies.

Track 8: Legislation for Sustainability (President: TDB)

• The legislation for sustainability track explores legal frameworks and regulatory approaches that promote sustainable development. It examines how key EU directives, such as the CSRD and the CSDDD, can drive environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The session will discuss their impact on corporate accountability, consumer rights, and sustainable business practices, addressing challenges and opportunities for policymakers, businesses, and society.
