Welcome to the V Internacional Conference on Sustainable Finance (ICSF 2026)
Organized by Instituto BME
Shaping the Future of Financial Markets: Sustainable, Ethical, Human
The V Sustainable Finance Congress, organized by Instituto BME, will be held on September 17 and 18, 2026, in a unique setting: the Madrid Stock Exchange Palace, the historic heart of the Spanish financial markets and a meeting point for academia, industry, and regulation.
Madrid Stock Exchange Palace - Madrid, Spain
Following the previous edition held in Barcelona, the Congress takes another step forward and returns to Madrid to consolidate its position as a leading academic and institutional forum on sustainable finance, bringing together researchers, market professionals, representatives of regulatory bodies, and public policy makers.
Throughout the day, the Congress will offer a rigorous and multidisciplinary academic program, structured into parallel sessions by subject area, roundtable discussions, and an opening keynote speech that will set out the main lines of reflection. The papers presented will address the major challenges currently facing financial sustainability: from the integration of ESG criteria and financial innovation to the relationship between markets, regulation, and academia.
The 5th Sustainable Finance Congress is designed as a space for sharing knowledge, comparing approaches, and generating dialogue among those who are actively contributing to the transformation of the financial system toward more responsible, transparent, and sustainable models.
In addition to the academic content, the Congress will promote academic and institutional networking, with spaces designed for the exchange of ideas and the creation of synergies, culminating in a gala dinner that will reinforce the relational nature of the event.
